El Paso Online Poker Betting Player Has Success On Poker Tour

Suzanne Carrillo, as she cheerfully admits, doesn't look like the stereotype of a pro poker player, hunched over cards in a smoky back room.

Most obviously, she's a young woman (31 years old) in a male-dominated game with a big smile and an outgoing personality.

In the ways that matter, though, she has plenty in common with anyone who consistently makes money at cards. Carrillo completely believes in herself.

"This year will be my starting point; I feel it with everything in me," she said. "I'm going to be a household name. I haven't put myself out there yet, but I'm going to. I'm going to be one of the players on TV everyone knows."

Carrillo's certainly on her way. Earlier this year, after a career that included plenty of big Texas No-Limit Hold 'Em payouts (A $53,000 prize three years ago stands out), she won her most prestigious tournament, a World Series of Online Poker Betting Circuit Event at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and a gaudy ring that goes with it.
