Online Heads Up Poker

Online heads up poker is a very hard field to get into, although I do know several players who play the $50-100 stakes and win a good percentage of the time. They are not your average gamblers though; they have strict routines and probably tilt 1/100 games if they are having an incredibly bad streak!

That is the key anyway, take it match by match, but overall you need to be hitting somewhere between a 58-60% win rate to be profitable overall, and have the bankroll to take your downswings in online heads up poker. Do not think that 100 games is a good enough sample either, I'd be looking at around 500-1000 games before you will see a clear indication of where your game is with online heads up poker, mainly due to the variation of results.

Playing online heads up poker is slightly different to offline, mainly due to the fact that you can't see the opponents face. If you give off your emotions fairly easily, then this is definitely a good thing, as they can't see your face either.

Poker to play For Free and For Fun

Poker is an popular card game that is known worldwide, it has a large following and there are many games in the poker family to choose from. Many people have individual preferences when it comes to playing poker, which is the most exciting fun to play, which game they are best at and which games give you the best odds and highest wins etc.

There are many different reasons why people enjoy playing poker. Playing poker for fun is a great way to learn the game and improve your skills, however because the other players are also playing for fun the game might not reflect the true choices a person may make when playing for real money.

Some view gambling online as inferior for them it doesn't compare to playing in a real game and playing for fun isn't the same as playing for real money even small amounts. I think as long as you're having fun it doesn't matter - Everybody's different.

Playing Online Poker For A Living

Playing online poker for a living is absolutely doable, but it takes a combination of talent, dedication, patience, discipline and disposition to succeed.

You must study and constantly work on the weak parts of your game. Reading a book like "Texas Holdem for Advanced Players" once, will not be good enough. You will have to read it over and over, and you must truly consume, study and learn it. You must take the game seriously at all times, maintaining your focus and always continue to learn, even when you are away from the table.

Knowing where and at what times the the loosest middle and upper limit poker games are played are the number one secret for those that play professional poker online. Online poker professionals win most of their money from the weak players(fishes-suckers), so finding a table with two or three fishes on it, is extremely important if you want to succeed at this game. Tight and conservative poker tables are not profitable to play on, even for the professionals.

Finding the right table to play on will take some time and effort from your side, but will definately be worth it if you are serious of making a living playing this great and complex game.

The response from the Poker Players Alliance on the issue has been brief but strong. They have support in Congress and $3 million to lobby everyone else.

Dominik Nitsche Captures PokerStars LAPT Grand Final

Dominic Nitsche is 18 years old. He is still in high school. Heck, he may have some homework to finish after this. And after playing in his first ever live tournament, he's an LAPT champion. After he knocked out fellow big stack Mark Ioli late on Day 2 to give him a massive chip lead, some of us joked that he could do away with this final table like a one-man wrecking ball. He didn't end up taking out every player, but he did win the most critical hand at the final table, ending up with two-thirds of the chips in play by the time we reached four-handed play.

62 players returned to the Casino Central for Day 2 of the PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour Mar del Plata Main Event, with Robin Chesne taking the chip lead into the start of the day.

Learn to Play Winning Poker Online

Poker has been played for many years by many people all over the world. For many people poker has become something as a passion not because they know how to win games. These people are doing this for the thrill. This game can raise the level of adrenalin to any poker gamer. This game has many advantages to be played online. This is due to the fact that the home atmosphere is much better than the field with smoke poker rooms. But let's take a closer look at the benefits of playing this game online:

Justify FullPlan your moves calmly: If you were playing in a room and you are a beginner you would feel completely nervous because of the bearded, with black glasses and imperturbable high-experienced players who are pro-s in bluffing. But when you play at home, this problem does not exist.

Play in free or real money games: It is your choice whether you want to play with real money or simply to train and improve our skills in free games.

Create your unique strategy easily: The strategy is not something that can be created with just 2-3 games. You will need to practice a lot before you can say I have a great strategy to play poker.

Poker a game of skill according to Cigital Study

A survey carried out by software consultancy group Cigital in conjunction with online poker giants PokerStars pored over the results of over 103 million hands to conclude that poker is a game of skill.

The recently concluded study analysed the findings of online hand histories submitted by PokerStars players and discovered that 75% of all hands were won or lost without the player ever seeing more than their own hole cards and the cards on the board.

Of the remaining 25% that actually reached showdown, only half were won by the player holding the best five-card hand, with the remainder of winning hands being folded before the cards were turned face up. Such findings strongly indicate that Texas Hold’em is a game dictated largely by skill, with good players relying on more than just luck to win pots.
